Our Christmas stores

This is a straight up link fest to most of our Christmas stores and Christmas collections in our Zazzle store.  We are always adding to our stores and creating what we consider to be fun and useful designs and products.  Christmas gives us a greater opportunity to talk about our creations and we are so proud of them.

We hope that anything you purchase from Zazzle with our designs on them are to your satisfaction.  Zazzle gives a 100% guarantee on their products, but more than that, we hope you love our designs.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Kristin and Steve (KnS)

We have apparel, cards, mugs and decor.  We also have merchandise for transplant recipients, caregivers and those that like to spread the word of organ donation, which we hope everyone does!

I will live forever

I Will Live Forever

by Robert Test

The day will come when my body will lie upon a white sheet neatly tucked under four corners of a mattress located in a hospital; busily occupied with the living and the dying.

At a certain moment a doctor will determine that my brain has ceased to function and that, for all intents and purposes, my life has stopped.

When that happens, do not attempt to instill artificial life into my body by the use of a machine.  And don't call this my deathbed.  Let it be called the bed of life, and let my body be taken from it to help others lead longer lives.

Give my sight to the man who has never seen a sunrise, a baby's face or love in the eyes of a woman.

Give my heart to a person whose own heart has caused nothing but endless days of pain.

Give my blood to the teenager who was pulled from the wreckage of his car, so that he might live to see his grandchildren play.

Give my kidneys to the one who depends on a machine to exist wee to week.

Take my bones, every muscle, every fiber and nerve in my body and find a way to make a crippled child walk.

Explore every corner of my brain.

Take my cells, if necessary, and let them grow so that, someday a speechless boy will shout at the crack of a bat and a deaf girl will hear the sound of rain against her window.

Burn what is left of me and scatter the ashes to the winds to help the flowers grow.

If you must bury something, let it be my faults, my weakness and all prejudice against my fellow man.

Give my sins to the devil.  Give my soul to God.

If, by chance, you wish to remember me, do it with a kind deed or word to someone who needs you.

Customized Flyers for potlucks and parties

I wish I could draw.  My sister can draw and paint and make things out of wire and and and. I am in awe of her talent and have been my entire life.  I can't draw at all.  Even my stick figures look ill.  Growing up with her, I learned a lot about how things should look, about good design and that beauty is worth it!  Thankfully I learned that I was a pretty good photographer, so if I can find a great photo opportunity then I don't need to know how to draw what I spotted.  Whew!  It takes the pressure off!

My husband is also a creative - he uses Photoshop and other design programs and he creates that way.  We have a potluck dinner each month and he designs the flyer for it.  He's been doing this for years, so I always encourage him to use the one from the year before and just change the date.  Unless it's the day before the event and we've both forgotten, he never just changes the date.

The appetizer potluck above was a totally new design.  I asked him to pull the flyer so I could post it on our group page and a day later he sends me this...  How can people see these types of things?

I can visualize a space, a blog post, a cleaned closet, but I will never be able to see these designs that he sees.  I posted the Zombies Don't Scare Me t-shirt the other day and he took that thought and made the Halloween Party flyer.  Isn't it cool?  I just love it.

Even something as simple as fall leaves seems to just glow from within when he gets his hands on it.  I've often thought that he should market these designs and allow for customization of the text.  I wonder if there's a market for it?

I've seen a lot of very poor invitations to events and most people don't really care how they look, which is just fine.  But if you have a monthly event, like we do with our potlucks, it might be nice to have a more professional design.  I may be partial because he's my fella, but I love the work he creates.

If you have any opinions, we'd be glad to hear them.

Thank you!

Dishtowels from KNS Home Decor

Dishtowels are just about one of my favorite things.  Seriously.  I have a few towels from when I had just graduated from high school - nearly 35 years.  Those towels are so soft and absorbent, but they are stained and have lost some of their color, but I love them like a beloved pet.

When we first got onto Zazzle and looked at all of the products that we could put designs on, I immediately went to the dishtowels.  I had to.  It was near obsession.

We now have 57 different dishtowels.  Some have a design on them that are my personal photos.  The very first Christmas after starting KNS Gear, my husband got me three of my photo dishtowels as a present.

The fabric is a slight waffle weave, but it's more puckered than woven.  The kitchen towels were absorbent from the very first day.  (I do admit, I never use fabric softener, so they stay absorbent.)

The cut of these towels isn't straight.  I think it has something to do with the puckering effect of the fabric, but it doesn't detract from the towels, in my opinion.

The towels with a scene from top to bottom will look different when folded, so we have made every effort to make the design look good no matter how it's folded.

The towels are so lovely that they make nice display fabric or as a lining for a bread basket.  It's an easy way to get a theme in your kitchen or for an event without having to do too much.  The lemonade kitchen towel at the top of the page can instantly turn your outdoor table with a glass of lemonade and some cookies into something that looks like you spent a lot more time preparing.

I've washed my kitchen towels that were purchased here nearly every week for the past few years.  They look just as lovely as the day they arrived.  They are hard working towels, I can attest to that.

I mentioned that I was a bit obsessive about my towels, but I don't hesitate to use them.  I wipe floors with them, take them on vacation, dry dishes, line baking sheets with them as extra drying space and use them as decorating pieces.  They are used as hot pads and to clean off the counters.

The ones with recipes on them are used to make sure I don't get the ingredients wrong.  And by the way, the Olive Tapenade is one of our recipes that we tested many times to get the ratio correct and it's fantastic!

Pair a dishtowel with a bottle of olive oil, some fabulous bread and some dipping spices and you have an elegant gift.

KNS Gear is one way that Steve and I add a little bit of income to our lives and get those creative juices flowing when we sit down to create.  We hope you enjoy the products we talk about and if you ever want anything specific, please let us know.

Have a great day!

Santa stuck in the chimney

Santa's Stuck in the Chimney is one of our more humorous designs and very popular.  Steve wrote up a funny description for this design, so I'll let him tell you about the product.

It had to happen. It probably happens more than you know. Santa getting stuck in a chimney on Christmas Eve. Maybe jolly ol' St. Nick needs to lose a few.

Hmmm...... Well, don't ponder it too much and just enjoy a laugh and know that no matter what, Santa will deliver all his toys and goodies on time.

Merry Christmas from Kristin 'n' Steve at KNS Gear and thank you for shopping our KNS Christmas Store!

KNS Gear - Happy November!

Zombies don't scare me, I've had a liver transplant!

The zombie craze is huge.  How many seasons has The Walking Dead been on anyway?  It seems like everyone should have been zombified by now, but yet they keep going!

My husband, Steve, created the zombie design for KNS Gear and I just love it.  Two creepy fellas coming through the dark, the eyes peek out from that deep black and even the grass looks creepy.  The "I've had a liver transplant" is customizable, so you can put anything you want there.

Zombies don't scare me I drive a Yugo.
Zombies don't scare me I have 6 children.
Zombies don't scare me -- fill in the blank!!

Or, if you've had a liver transplant, then this is the shirt for you!

We have shirts for all kinds of organ transplant recipients - liver, kidney, heart and lung.  This next month I will be showing all kinds of products that we design and sell through Zazzle.

Have a great day!
